Technology Content information

What is a technology content professional?

Technology Content professionals are individuals who create, manage, and optimize content related to technology topics. They may write articles, produce videos, or develop technical documentation that explains complex tech concepts in an accessible way. Their primary goal is to educate, inform, and engage audiences about technology products, trends, and innovations. These professionals often work closely with subject matter experts, editors, and marketing teams to ensure accuracy and relevance. Technology Content roles can include content writers, editors, strategists, and multimedia producers.

How does a technology content specialist typically collaborate with technical teams to ensure accuracy in content?

A Technology Content Specialist often works closely with engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather detailed information and verify technical details. This collaboration may involve attending product meetings, conducting interviews, and reviewing technical documentation to clarify complex concepts. Regular feedback loops and content review sessions help ensure that published materials are both accurate and accessible to the target audience. Building strong relationships with technical teams is essential for staying updated on new features or changes and producing high-quality content.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a technology content writer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Technology Content Writer, you need strong writing and research skills, a solid understanding of technology concepts, and typically a degree in communications, journalism, or a technical field. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), SEO tools, and analytics platforms is often required. Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content are valuable soft skills. These competencies ensure accurate, accessible, and impactful technology communications for target audiences.

Job description

E & E Tech is one of Metro Detroit's leading managed IT service providers. We help small and mid-sized businesses grow by cutting through the complexity of technology by delivering 24/7 infrastructure management, enterprise-grade cybersecurity, cloud solutions, and communications tools that are fast, reliable, and built around what each client actually needs.
Based in Livonia, MI, we work with businesses across a wide range of industries. We respond faster, customize deeper, and treat every client like they're our only one. We're a tight-knit, growing team that moves quickly and takes real ownership of the work we do.
We're growing, and we need someone who can own our content from ideation to execution. This role sits at the intersection of creative production and strategic marketing: you'll be behind the camera one day and behind the keyboard the next, with your fingerprints on everything from a brand video to a blog post that earns page-one rankings.
This isn't an isolated position. You'll collaborate directly with leadership and contribute meaningfully to how our brand sounds, looks, and shows up in the world. If you thrive with creative ownership, love building audiences, and can move fluidly between producing and writing, we want to hear from you.
Please incude a strong, diverse portfolio including video, written work, and social that you can walk us through and speak to the strategy behind.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a multi-channel content strategy aligned with brand goals and measurable business objectives
- Plan, film, and edit short- and long-form video content for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and beyond
- Manage day-to-day social media accounts - creating, scheduling, publishing, and engaging across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and others
- Build and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure consistent, on-brand output across all platforms
- Monitor analytics and KPIs across channels; use performance data to refine strategy
- Stay ahead of algorithm shifts, platform changes, and content trends
- Support graphic asset creation for social posts, email headers, and marketing collateral
- Collaborate on campaigns, product launches, partnerships, and brand moments from concept through distribution
- Utilize AI to assist with creation of items such as blog posts, and other written content
