IT Support Technician
Annapolis Junction, MD | On-Site (4 Days In Office, 1 Day Remote) | Full-Time
Cherry Bekaert Recruiting & Staffing is partnering with an innovative international organization seeking an IT Support Technician to support day-to-day technology operations for its U.S. office.
This role is ideal for a hands-on IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, supporting end users, managing Microsoft 365 environments, and serving as a key point of contact for local IT operations. The position works closely with global technology teams and external partners to ensure reliable systems, strong user support, and seamless business operations.
About the Opportunity
As the primary IT support resource for the U.S. location, you will provide front-line technical support for hardware, software, networking, and business applications while helping maintain a productive and secure workplace technology environment. The role also serves as a liaison for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central-related issues, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to drive resolution and system performance.
Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level IT support for hardware, software, user accounts, and workplace technology issues.
  • Configure, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Manage device provisioning and deployment through MDM tools such as Microsoft Intune and Autopilot.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and oversee hardware lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, replacement, and disposal.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services including user accounts, mailboxes, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities, including account provisioning and workstation setup.
  • Track incidents and service requests through ticketing and ITSM platforms.
  • Serve as the local point of contact for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central support issues and coordinate resolution efforts.
  • Troubleshoot local network, VPN, printer, and connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with global IT teams on technology standards, security initiatives, and system rollouts.
Qualifications
  • 3-6 years of experience in IT support, help desk, desktop support, or a related role.
  • Associate degree, vocational training, or comparable IT experience.
  • Experience supporting users in a business environment.
  • Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365, including user accounts, mailboxes, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with ticketing systems and ITSM platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting abilities across hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and Microsoft technologies.
  • Knowledge of device deployment, lifecycle management, and endpoint support.
  • Ability to work independently while providing exceptional customer service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics GP, or other ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, or similar endpoint management tools.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and Wi-Fi.
  • Experience supporting international teams or working across multiple time zones.
  • Experience coordinating with external IT vendors and service providers.
