Job description

Kepler executes engineered marketing, where every message and ad delivered helps create a more personalized and productive relationship between brands and their consumers. We do this by acting as clients' agency of record, as their in-house team, or some hybrid of the two - and by harnessing data and technology across all paid digital media and data-driven CRM channels.
Kepler prides itself on being a great place to work. In fact, we're proud to share that AdAge recognized Kepler among the Best Place to Work in 2022, validating our investment in our team and our clients.
  • We're transparent with our employees. You'll hear updates on company financials, how we're performing against bonus goals, and how we're responding to challenges we face.
  • We're growing. For you, that means unparalleled growth opportunities and a role in shaping the direction of the company.
  • We're fun. You'll work with and learn from the smartest people in the industry and have a blast doing it.

ASSOCIATE VICE PRESIDENT, STRATEGY
The Client Solutions AVP is responsible for leading high-profile client relationships and managing a team of up to 30 digital media experts. As a client leader, you'll be a trusted advisor to senior clients and maintain relationships at the CMO level. You'll also be a thought leader - solving client marketing challenges, overseeing development of sophisticated marketing & media plans, and leveraging data to develop insights and drive business results.
As a senior leader at Kepler, you'll also be responsible for growing the Client Services organization, developing industry-leading media approaches and frameworks, identifying and codifying best practices, and refining Kepler's unique approach to planning, client management, and media deployment.
This isn't your typical "account" job. The role demands a "roll up your sleeves" approach and a deep understanding of marketing and the ad tech ecosystem. Your team members will be both strong account leaders and technical experts. Your ability to inspire, coach, and mentor staff is critical to success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be the senior point of contact for assigned client portfolio, with accountability for client success; interface and lead discussions with senior client leadership (CMO level) regularly
  • Partner with senior stakeholders in the client organization to understand their business goals, marketing objectives, and competitive constraints, and lead the development of digital strategies to address these areas
  • Directly lead a team of 15-30 and, as a senior leader, provide strategic guidance and thought leadership across Kepler's functional teams
  • Be a strategic expert on digital media planning, tactics and measurement - driving a structured approach to planning, tactic selection, partner negotiation, campaign design, and measurement
  • Inspire, coach, and mentor staff across multiple disciplines

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 10-15+ years experience in digital advertising account management, marketing strategy/consulting, direct marketing, digital acquisition, and/or brand management
  • Strong client presence; experience building relationships and driving change at senior levels within enterprise organizations
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, both directly and indirectly, with proven ability to develop junior and mid-level staff
  • Ability to apply innovative thinking to solve complex marketing challenges
  • Process and detail oriented; takes a "roll up your sleeves" approach to leadership and best practice development
  • Ability to contribute as a senior leader in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, team-based environment
  • BA/BS degree is preferred

Transparency is fundamental to Kepler's culture. Our compensation strategy is designed to attract, reward, and retain the talented employees that drive Kepler's growth and success. We aim to offer competitive direct compensation and a rich indirect compensation program that demonstrates the value we place on our employees and their wellbeing.
Total Compensation:
  • Base Salary: $180,000 - $195,000
  • Target Annualized Discretionary Bonus: 15% ($27,000 - $29,250)
  • Target Total Cash: $207,000 - $224,250

Benefits:
  • Healthcare/Dental/Vision
  • Unlimited PTO
  • 401k Contributions
  • $75/mo Wellness Stipend
  • $100/mo Mobile Phone Stipend
  • $50/mo Internet Stipend
  • $500/yr Annual Learning Stipend
  • $2,000/yr Annual Tuition Stipend
  • One-time $200 New Hire Home Office Equipment Stipend
  • Parental Leave - 16 week primary caregiver / 6 week secondary caregiver leave
  • Annual Work From Anywhere 4 weeks per year
