Position
Summit Line Construction is looking for a qualified and energetic individual to join our I.T. Department and who will also be a complement to the company and its culture.
Qualified persons to be considered will already have some professional background with I.T. experience, have great I.T. related troubleshooting skills specifically with Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Network Stack, Server Administration, Printers, Apple IOS and Android mobile devices. Also, can effectively balance speed and quality of work while multi-tasking end-user support, able to maintain good composure in stressful situations, be an effective, honest, a respectful communicator, and be diligent in the planning and the execution of tasks. The candidate will have hands on experience running and trimming out CAT6 cable.
**This position will be based in Pahrump, NV on project then moved to Las Vegas, NV when completed.**
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for users to resolve computer, software, network, printing, and mobile device related issues in person, over the telephone, or remotely with remote assistance applications.
• Provide support for the business applications and coordinate with support vendors when resolving complex issues.
• Provide individual and group orientation trainings of technology equipment, along with department driven projects and initiatives where applicable and upon request.
• Assist in maintaining the effective operations of the Information Technology (IT) Department; along with the implementation of policies and procedures.
• Administration of servers, desktop computers, printers, desk and cellular phones, and tablets.
• Travel to other offices and remote field locations to setup/maintain local networks, office equipment, and provide user support.
• Work on major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.
• Maintain accurate inventory of technology hardware, software, and resources.
• For new and existing users, prepare and install workstations, connect and set up hardware, load all required software, provide network accounts and passwords as required.
• Monitor and enforce security of all technology.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
• Understanding of contractual/regulatory compliance requirements
• Understanding of Risk Management Frameworks such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, COBIT etc.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the operating systems - Windows and Linux
• Demonstrated knowledge of virtualization, networking, and Active Directory
• Demonstrated knowledge of NTFS permissions and least privilege practices
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office desktop applications
• Demonstrated knowledge of PowerShell, SSH, and remote management
• Demonstrated knowledge of RJ45 network wiring
• Self-starter who can work independently while supporting the needs of the team.
