Position Overview:
 
Term: 6 month contract to hire 
Location: Washington, DC 
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00; commensurate with experience 
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM  
 
As a Systems Administrator in Technology Services, you will work to help plan and deliver against our strategy and our overall vision to create exceptional technology experiences for our users. You will be responsible for working with the leadership team to form a clear plan to achieve our goals, driving that plan forward with urgency, and helping improve our overall project management and resource allocation processes. In partnership with Director of IT and looking across all of the programs and projects the team is working on, you will implement and develop the frameworks and processes needed to run the organization. You will need to have a passion for embracing the fast-paced culture of a smaller company while also putting the right guardrails in place to allow the team to deliver.  The ability to work independently and with minimal assistance is a key element of success. You will be playing many roles at once (IT support, systems administration, security assessor, compliance auditor, network engineer, AV engineer) every day.  
 
What you will do as the Sr IT Administrator: 
The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Management and automation of employees’ IT infrastructure (Windows & Mac) 
  • Office network and services administration (Merak)  
  • Manage a wide-range of SaaS applications and services used by our staff (Zoom, Box, Adobe, Slack, Nexthink, Absolute, NinjaOne, Crowdstrike,)  
  • Provide expert-level technical assistance for core business applications (Azure, Intune, O365) 
  • Provide senior technical support knowledge for end-users regarding computers, printers, and mobile devices
  • Maintain laptop and desktop computers including installing, managing, and upgrading the operating system, installing, and configuring applications, creating users, and securing computers with disk encryption and other security best practices
  • Support network and e-mail connectivity, computer operating systems, hardware and software, internally developed applications, mainframe, and midrange operations
  • Interact professionally with internal users including Senior Partners to diagnose and resolve problems  
  • Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory design and Group Policy administration
  • Manage an enterprise-wide software deployment strategy using Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune
  • Proactively monitor a Microsoft infrastructure environment to ensure continued availability of the systems and services.
  • Document and update firm-wide installation and configuration procedures and policies
  • Complete maintenance and support actions for the production of Microsoft technologies; ideally, develop processes to increase efficiency and automate regular maintenance of support actions
  • Active user training and awareness across the firm and specialized within practice areas
  • Work with team to develop Keystone’s long-term strategic goals and define our path to accomplishing them  
  • Lead new system implementations, process changes, and migrations that drive key business objectives  
  • Look for connections to other projects and recommend opportunities for optimization and integration points  
  • Manage issue escalations and provide support to teams
  • Review upcoming SaaS release features as well as other integrated applications and provide recommendations to enhance efficiency and productivity  
  • Up to 10% travel (occasional travel to other offices to provide coverage)
 
What you will bring to the team: 
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Systems Administrator 
  • Hands-on experience leading technology projects from start to finish   
  • A history of achieving goals while managing scope, time, quality and risk 
  • An openness to recognizing all learnings from failures as well as successes   
  • Ability to build strong and effective relationships with business partners by understanding their needs and goals as well as what motivates and engages them   
  • A general fearlessness regarding the unknown, keen ability to focus and function effectively through ambiguity  
  • Experience working with program management tools such as Jira
  • Experience in a dynamic, fast-growing environment   
 
Preferred Qualifications:   
  • Experience with NSIT CSF and other cyber security and compliance needs in the context of cloud service providers and SaaS landscape   
  • Experience with general SaaS landscape including Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Iru (Kandji)/JAMF
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Management Information Systems or Computer Science is a plus)   
  • Strong skills with AV solutions such as Zoom/Teams rooms, neat bar hub and their administration
