Summary: We are seeking a skilled IT Desktop Support Specialist to configure, install, monitor, and maintain IT user desktop software and hardware. This role supports our mobile workforce and provides expert consultation to IT users for end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems software. Your expertise will guide users through Tier 2 support, and you'll collaborate with vendors to resolve Tier 3 issues.
Responsibilities:
  • Configure, install, monitor, and maintain desktop software and hardware for IT users.
  • Provide technical support and guidance through Tier 2 support, escalating to vendors for Tier 3 issues as needed.
  • Document solutions to problems and develop end-user guidelines.
  • Provide on-site training to users as required.
  • Evaluate, maintain, modify, and document desktop application packages.
  • Participate in testing and evaluation of new desktop packages and implement prototypes.
  • Consult and make recommendations to IT users on hardware and software product selection to meet business requirements.
  • Work on multiple projects as a project team member and coach junior technical staff.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support for desktop software and hardware products.
  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience providing maintenance and support for moderately complex to complex client products.
  • Ability to work concurrently on multiple projects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
