Job Description

Position               : SAP Techno-Functional Consultant

Location               : Washington DC Onsite

Duration              : Long term contract

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Techno-Functional Consultant to support, enhance, and maintain SAP solutions. The ideal candidate must possess strong functional knowledge across SAP modules along with hands-on technical development and integration expertise. This role will collaborate closely with business users, architects, developers, and support teams to deliver scalable and reliable SAP solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide techno-functional support for SAP modules including configuration, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
  • Gather and evaluate business requirements and convert them into detailed functional and technical specifications.
  • Perform SAP customization, configuration, WRICEF development, and integration tasks.
  • Manage SAP change requests, workflows, defect fixes, and enhancements.
  • Design and develop interfaces, reports, conversions, forms, and workflows (RICEFW).
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, and production deployments.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve technical/functional issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare documentation – design specs, functional specs, test scripts, configurations, and process flows.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and ensure alignment with project milestones.
  • Provide production support and handle user queries.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 8+ years of SAP experience with both technical and functional responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge in one or more SAP modules (e.g., FICO, MM, SD, HR, PP, PM).
  • Hands-on ABAP development experience including:
    • Reports, Enhancements, User Exits, BADIs
    • ALV, SmartForms, Dialog Programming
  • Experience with Integrations using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs.
  • Strong experience with WRICEF objects.
  • Experience with SAP troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Strong experience with data migration, testing, and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or migration projects.
  • Experience supporting large-scale SAP environments in enterprise settings.
  • Knowledge of Solution Manager, SAP security, workflow, and FIORI is a plus.
  • SAP certifications are an added advantage.
