Job description

Every product undergoes a rigorous, sophisticated monitoring and quality assurance program, from heat treatment to testing to the final inspection. Additionally, Western is in full compliance with outlined ASME, PED, ISO, and TSSA standards, a distinction held by only a handful of forging providers in the United States.
Roles & Responsibilities
A Heat Treat Technician Helper performs heat treating per specifications outlined on work order, i.e., pre-heat, post-heat stress relieve, normalize, temper or anneal
For this position, day-to-day responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:
โ€ข Operate all furnaces
โ€ข Keep accurate records and furnace charts
โ€ข Perform hardness testing to verify compliance to work order requirement
โ€ข Organize "heat treat lots" of material based on time & temperature requirements
Desired Requirements
โ€ข Must be able to operate a forklift and lifting devices
โ€ข Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job
Competency
Minimum Requirements
