Position Objective

To support manufacturing engineering and have mentorship in the pursuit of continual improvement project completion, and also hands on manufacturing problem solving. This may be a part time or full time role depending on school schedule. 

Job Description

  • Responsible for supporting continual improvement projects such as 5S, scrap reduction, and plant layout planning and execution.
  • Supports technical teams in day to day problem solving of manufacturing issues in molding and secondary operations.
  • Work with injection molds and all equipment to build an understanding of the various processes in the facility, through hands on manufacturing experience.
  • Assist in automation and waste reduction efforts in the facility.
  • Participates in a variety of safety and environmental procedures, processes and programs.
  • Performs other duties and assumes accountabilities as apparent or as delegated, including mutually agreed upon objectives.
  • Frequent contact with other team functions such as Process Engineers, Quality Engineers, Technicians, and Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Work effectively in a team environment contributing to team goals and objectives.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or completion of a two year technical degree required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without Visa sponsorship
