Role Description The Translation Project Manager is a part-time, on-site role based in Hayward, CA. This role oversees end-to-end project coordination for translation, localization, and related language services, including receiving client requests, defining project scope, and preparing timelines and resource plans. The Translation Project Manager assigns work to translators and editors, monitors progress, manages communication between clients and the production team, and ensures that deliverables meet quality, confidentiality, and deadline requirements. Daily responsibilities include maintaining project documentation, updating internal systems, resolving issues, and providing status reports to stakeholders. The role also involves supporting customer service activities, contributing to process improvements, and helping maintain Elite TransLingoโ€™s standards for accuracy and client satisfaction.

Qualifications


  • Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to manage client interactions, clarify project requirements, and provide timely updates.
  • Candidates should possess Translation and Quality Assurance skills to review language deliverables, verify accuracy, and ensure adherence to client specifications and confidentiality standards.
  • Candidates should possess solid Project Management skills to plan workflows, assign resources, track deadlines, and coordinate multiple translation projects simultaneously.
  • Candidates should ideally have experience in localization or language services, familiarity with CAT tools or translation management systems, and strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Candidates should be proficient in English and preferably Spanish; additional language skills are considered an asset, and they should hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience in translation, linguistics, communications, or project management.
