Title: Localization QA Specialist (Contract)

Payrate: $71/hour

Duration: 6-month assignment

Hours: Full-time

Location: Onsite in Cupertino, CA

Summary:

Do you catch the linguistic detail everyone else misses, and thrive when 50+ languages are shipping at once? We're looking for a Localization QA Specialist to help ensure every localized product experience is accurate, polished, and true to brand voice across every region we serve.

You'll coordinate localization QA efforts end-to-end: running exploratory testing on localization tools, tracking and documenting bugs with precision, and partnering closely with both internal teams and international vendor testers to keep projects on track. If you love the intersection of language, quality, and process, and can stay sharp under tight, fast-moving timelines, this role is built for you.

What You'll Do:

  • Coordinate localization QA efforts across a large portfolio of languages and regions
  • Conduct exploratory testing on localization tools and workflows
  • Thoroughly document, track, and prioritize bugs, calling out blockers as soon as they arise
  • Work closely with internal team members and international vendor testers to keep projects moving
  • Ensure localized content is accurate, high-quality, and consistent with brand voice across all covered territories
  • Manage multiple localization projects simultaneously within demanding timeframes

What You Bring:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in localization workflows, software QA, and online production processes
  • Proficiency using and performing QA on localization tools, with a strong foundation in exploratory testing methodologies
  • Proven track record in localization and tools testing, detailed bug reporting, and localization project management
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills, with a demonstrated ability to work independently in a global team environment
  • Experience planning, managing, and delivering multiple projects within tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of focus and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to identify and prioritize key deliverables
  • Flexibility to respond quickly and enthusiastically to rapidly changing directions and complex situations

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Native-level fluency in a language in addition to English, along with excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Experience working across major mobile and desktop consumer tech platforms
