Job description

Manager, Technical Training and Enablement
Summary: The position supports training operations at the Stulz headquarters and technical training facility in Frederick, Maryland. And is responsible for leading the development and delivery of technical training and certification programs supporting Stulz products and services. This role establishes a scalable training framework for employees, field technicians, sales representatives, and authorized service partners to ensure consistent technical competency and service standards across the Stulz support network.
Working closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Field Service, the Manager translates complex mechanical, electrical, and controls-based product designs into structured training programs that improve technician capability, service quality, and product reliability in the field.
The role also oversees the ongoing development of training curriculum, certification pathways, and hands-on learning programs that support the growth of the Stulz service organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage the technical training and certification program for field technicians, sales representatives, and authorized service partners.
  • Establish structured training pathways including foundational, intermediate, and advanced certification levels for Stulz equipment and controls.
  • Design and maintain technical training curriculum including course outlines, learning objectives, instructor guides, and student materials.
  • Develop hands-on training modules utilizing product equipment, system mockups, and simulation tools to reinforce real-world service scenarios.
  • Deliver instructor-led training sessions both at Stulz facilities and in the field, including classroom instruction, technical workshops, and on-site service training.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product Management, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure training materials remain aligned with product changes and technical updates.
  • Develop online and hybrid learning programs to expand training accessibility across the STULZ global service network.
  • Team with marketing and engineering teams to develop visual training materials including diagrams, videos, and digital learning content.

Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Technical Education, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience developing or delivering technical training programs.
  • Experience working with HVAC equipment, refrigeration systems, electrical systems, or mission critical infrastructure strongly preferred.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
  • Strong presentation and instructional skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, and field service teams.

Special Working Conditions:
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% to support training programs and field activities.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during training delivery and lift up to 50 pounds when working with training equipment.
  • Work environment includes office settings, manufacturing facilities, data center environments, and customer sites.
