Hone Operator Trainee
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: 8am-4pm Overtime as needed
Pay:$20.00 Hourly

Experience not required but, but good mechanical skills are needed for this role.
Hone Operator Trainee learns to set up and operate honing machines to finish and refine metal parts. Key duties include shadowing senior operators, loading parts, and checking product measurements.

Job Duties:
Shadow and Learn: Work under a trainer to understand machine setups, speed adjustments, and stroke controls.
Set up, adjust, and operate precision honing machinery.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job travelers for specifications.
Choose the correct abrasives, honing stones, and fixtures for each job.
Measure parts using precision tools like micrometers, calipers, and air gauges.
Load and unload heavy parts manually or using overhead cranes and hoists.
Clean machines, replace worn abrasive stones, and monitor coolant levels.
Log production numbers, inspection results, and equipment maintenance issues.
