Sewer III
Location: Zeeland, MI
Shift: 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Monday–Friday) plus Overtime
Pay: $16.50+ per hour

Job Summary
Are you an experienced sewer who takes pride in precision workmanship and creating high-quality products? We’re seeking a Sewer III to join our team in Zeeland, MI. In this role, you'll work with industrial sewing equipment and specialized materials to fabricate durable textile assemblies while supporting quality, safety, and production goals. 

What You'll Be Doing
As a Sewer III, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Industrial Sewing & Fabrication: Fabricate complex dunnage systems and textile assemblies using a variety of industrial sewing machines and materials.
  • Quality Control: Perform inspections to ensure seam strength, stitch quality, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with customer specifications.
  • Machine Operation & Maintenance: Conduct preventative maintenance, make minor machine adjustments, and troubleshoot sewing or material issues to minimize downtime.
In addition, you will assist with prototypes and first-article samples, provide guidance to Sewer I and II team members, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and support lean manufacturing and safety initiatives. 

What We're Looking For
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One to three years of related sewing or manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, and safety procedures in English
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Skills:
  • Industrial Sewing Expertise: Experience operating industrial sewing machines, including lockstitch, walking foot, and pattern sewing equipment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to maintain dimensional accuracy and produce high-quality finished products.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve stitching, material, and machine-related issues.
  • Mathematical Ability: Comfortable working with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals for measurements and specifications.
  • Communication & Teamwork: Ability to work effectively within a team environment and provide training or guidance when needed.
  • Safety Focus: Commitment to maintaining a safe, organized workspace and following company quality standards.
