JOB DESCRIPTION

Bradford company is looking for a bright, innovative and highly motivated Textile Coordinator to support the textile coordination and production processes by assisting in the handling, inspection, and tracking of textile materials used in industrial packaging products. The coordinator will assist the Design team in building prototype samples, component parts, shipping cartons, and routine maintenance of the design lab equipment. This individual will coordinate material receipt and inventory updates, performing basic quality checks, preparing samples, and maintaining organized records of textile stock and usage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Build prototype samples as requested.
  • Monitor inventory levels of textile materials and coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Test and monitor quality and compliance of fabric components, conducting inspections and resolving production issues as needed.
  • Inspect and test incoming textile materials for defects, strength, color consistency, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Test designs as directed.
  • Operate and maintain design lab (CAD/CAM) and sewing equipment.
  • Acquire and maintain general knowledge of the Company’s products and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve material efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
  • Understand and apply Company certified quality standards, as dictated by customer and market requirements (i.e. ISO, etc.).
  • Lead daily team operations by overseeing task execution and ensuring assignments are completed accurately and on time.
  • Practice and promote safe work practices.
  • Ensure workmanship of the highest quality standards, while meeting productivity goals.
  • Proactively help to create and work within a team-based environment and practice effective communication skills, coordinating with other personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of material usage, waste, and reorders.
  • Train other team members and retain and apply job knowledge.
  • Demonstrate good problem-solving skills.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

DRAFTING SKILLS: Must have drafting training or Computer Aided Design (Auto Cad) capability. Ability to interpret CAD drawings. Must be able to envision three dimensional and isometric images mentally.

MECHANICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with shop equipment such as band saw, table saw, drill press, router, knives, etc.
