Job description

Ocean Eye, Inc. is seeking a highly organized, mechanically inclined Technical Assistant to support our team serving transportation infrastructure, commercial diving, marine construction, public safety, and government customers.

This is a hands-on position that combines mechanical work, equipment service support, shipping and receiving, customer service, documentation, research, and general shop responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, staying organized, and learning new equipment and procedures. Commercial diving experience is not required; however, applicants should have a solid mechanical background and be comfortable using hand and power tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist technicians with equipment inspection, service, repair, assembly, testing, and general shop work
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and properly
  • Maintain accurate digital records, service reports, and support-ticket updates
  • Document work performed clearly and thoroughly
  • Handle shipping, receiving, packaging, and processing of customer orders
  • Assist with inventory, parts identification, and equipment organization
  • Manage assigned projects and tasks involving multiple steps
  • Conduct online research for parts, equipment, procedures, and customer inquiries
  • Create and update records within company databases and systems
  • Communicate professionally with customers by phone, email, and support-ticket systems
  • Assist with video calls and remote customer support when required
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
