Position Summary

American IT Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our Managed Services team. This hybrid office-and-field position combines hands-on technical support, client relationship management, and business-development support.

The successful candidate will provide onsite and remote IT services to existing clients while helping identify and develop new business opportunities. This position is well suited for an IT professional who enjoys solving technical problems, working directly with clients, and contributing to company growth.

Base salary range

$25-$29

Key Responsibilities

Managed IT Services and Technical Support

  • Provide onsite and remote technical support for managed-services clients.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, cloud, security, and connectivity issues.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and support desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, networking equipment, and related technologies.
  • Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, email, user accounts, permissions, and cloud-based applications.
  • Assist with the administration and monitoring of servers, networks, backups, endpoint protection, patching, and cybersecurity solutions.
  • Monitor client environments and proactively identify technical risks, performance issues, and service needs.
  • Assist with new-client onboarding, technology assessments, equipment deployments, and managed-services implementations.
  • Perform workstation installations, system upgrades, equipment replacements, and basic technology migrations.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior team members, vendors, or third-party providers when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate service tickets, technical documentation, asset records, and client information.
  • Follow established service procedures, security requirements, and client-specific standards.
  • Recommend practical technology improvements that strengthen security, reliability, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with technical and nontechnical client contacts.
  • Participate in scheduled after-hours support or project work when required.

Client Development and Sales Support

  • Identify potential service opportunities while supporting existing and prospective clients.
  • Build positive relationships with client contacts and recognize technology needs that American IT Solutions may be able to address.
  • Prospect for potential managed-services clients through phone calls, email outreach, professional networking, referrals, and community involvement.
  • Attend networking functions, industry events, trade shows, and business-development meetings.
  • Participate in discovery meetings to help evaluate prospective clients? technology environments, business objectives, operational challenges, and service requirements.
  • Assist with technical assessments, solution recommendations, presentations, proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
  • Explain technical solutions and service recommendations in clear business terms.
