Job description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Telecom Expense Management (TEM) Analyst to support the Telecom Services and Expense Management Unit within IT Operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for telecom financial management, invoice auditing, budget forecasting, vendor expense analysis, reporting, and process optimization. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, expertise in SQL and reporting tools, and the ability to manage large datasets to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Manage and optimize telecom expense management processes for IT operations. Analyze telecom invoices, wireless plans, and equipment purchases to ensure billing accuracy and identify overcharges. Develop and maintain budget tracking, forecasting, and variance reporting processes.

Prepare financial reports, forecasts, expense analyses, and project status reports. Monitor telecom vendor expenses and compare contract funding against actual spend. Perform cost-benefit analysis (CBA) and ROI evaluations for telecom services and projects.

Track planned vs. actual expenses and support annual budget planning activities. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, anomalies, and vendor-related issues.

Create dashboards and reports using SQL, Tableau, Excel, and other reporting tools. Support process improvement initiatives to enhance operational and financial efficiency. Work cross-functionally with IT, Finance, Procurement, and vendors to ensure effective telecom service management.

Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Technology, or related field preferred. 10 years of experience in Telecom Expense Management, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or telecom operations. Strong experience with: SQL Tableau or similar analytics/reporting tools Microsoft Excel and Office Suite Experience with invoice auditing and telecom billing analysis.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Experience with: Budget development and forecasting Financial reporting and variance analysis Vendor and contract expense management Knowledge of: PeopleSoft Finance Modules ServiceNow Reporting Modules Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
