The role involves providing high-level technical support, leading projects for infrastructure systems, and ensuring network security and performance enhancements.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, and supporting LAN, WAN, Server, SAN, and VoIP infrastructures.
โ€ข Provide high-level technical support for voice, fiber, storage, and data network systems.
โ€ข Lead projects used to maintain current operating levels for infrastructure systems.
โ€ข Research emerging technologies to enhance network performance and provide operating efficiencies.
โ€ข Assist with administration of security devices such as firewall, IDS, Proxy, and VPN.
โ€ข Remediate vulnerabilities detected in the networking infrastructure and related systems.
โ€ข Ensure customer focus and communication through all aspects of the assigned responsibilities.
โ€ข Provide regular updates to management on the status of such projects.
โ€ข Maintain network security infrastructure, review system logs, monitors system security, and configure network security related devices.
โ€ข Support for all Unified Communications projects, services, and related phone equipment.
โ€ข Support SAN and vmWare infrastructure.
โ€ข Work with outside agencies or organizations for network, security, and voice services.
