Job description

Job Details:

This location is part of our Prepared Foods Division. As a Maintenance Technician, you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally across every area of our facility and influence company performance by maintaining our equipment. Our Maintenance Technicians are vital to maintaining our Team Member's safety through problem solving and proactive upkeep. We have a fast-paced work environment, where every day is different, and we invest in the continued growth and skills of our Maintenance Technicians. Come be part of our Team.

Pay is determined by experience and is paid weekly!

Shift Availability: Multiple shifts available. Candidates may indicate preferred shift; placement will be based on operational needs and availability.Must be willing to work a flexible schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance support with moderate supervision to ensure the safe and effective operation of equipment and team.

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic plant equipment.

  • Conduct emergency mechanical or electrical repairs as needed.

  • Troubleshoot issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.

  • Safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned production equipment.

  • Effectively interact with all plant personnel to accomplish plant and individual goals.

  • Minimize downtime due to equipment failure.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: At least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience OR 1 year of industrial maintenance experience education (e.g., possess industrial maintenance diploma or currently enrolled in technical school) in lieu of experience.

    • Applicants will be considered for Associate Maintenance Technicians, General Maintenance Technicians, and Sr Maintenance Technicians level openings.

    • Leveling determined during the interview process based on skillset, knowledge, and experience.

  • Computer Skills: Basic computer skills necessary for logging information, processing daily work orders, and completing required documentation. Ability to learn and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and basic math skills required.

Special Skills:

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally; ability to lift 20 lbs. frequently.

  • Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.

  • Ability to work in confined and tall spaces, walk, climb, utilize a ladder, operate a lift, bend, and stoop.

  • Repetitive gripping, pushing, and pulling.

  • Frequent overhead work.

  • Temperatures inside the plant may vary from -25 degrees to over 100 degrees; outside work may also be needed.

  • Basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements.
