Description

The Senior Maintenance Technician (Facilities & Operations) is a technical expert responsible for leading maintenance efforts across both facility and production systems. This role drives equipment reliability, leads troubleshooting efforts for complex issues, and mentors the maintenance team. The Senior Technician collaborates with engineering and operations to design and implement long-term improvements to safety, efficiency, and reliability.

  • Shift Times: 7:00AM - 3:30PM M-F
  • Pay Schedule: Weekly

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Demonstrate the Core Values of Comfort Research in daily actions, execution of tasks, and interactions with others.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, and programmatic issues across the facility and manufacturing systems.
  • Lead advanced preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Partner with engineers to implement process and equipment improvements.
  • Guide machine installation, commissioning, and system upgrades.
  • Oversee facility maintenance, including HVAC, electrical distribution, water, and compressed air systems.
  • Lead root cause analysis for major equipment or facility failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop technical documentation, including maintenance SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and training materials.
  • Develop and deliver training for associate- and mid-level technicians.
  • Coordinate major repair projects, including vendor management and contractor oversight.
  • Track and analyze maintenance data to drive reliability and efficiency initiatives.
  • Ensure strict adherence to lockout/tagout (LOTO), OSHA, NFPA, and other regulatory requirements in all maintenance activities.
  • Act as a technical advisor to operations leadership, contributing input for capital planning, facility upgrades, and long-term reliability strategies.
  • Provide after-hours technical support and coordinate emergency maintenance response when needed.
  • Support Operations Team in shared goals & initiatives.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in industrial and facilities maintenance, with advanced expertise in troubleshooting and repair.
  • Extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control systems within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in facility infrastructure maintenance (HVAC, chillers, power distribution, plumbing).
  • Certified Master Electrician, Programmer, Licenced Boiler technician, and Certified Welder (having all skills/certifications preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead technical projects and mentor junior staff.
  • Skilled in interpreting complex schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Demonstrated success in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
  • Excellent project management and vendor coordination skills.
