Job description

Outback Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll be the second member of a small analytics team, working closely with our lead analyst on a wide range of projects. The day-to-day centers on building and maintaining Power BI dashboards, supporting financial reporting and month-end close, and helping teams across the company make better decisions with data. Over time, there’s room to grow into data engineering work including ETL pipelines in Microsoft Fabric.

This is not a narrowly scoped role. We’re a small team with a big surface area, so you’ll wear a lot of hats and take on new challenges regularly. If you thrive in environments where work changes and you’re always learning something new, this is a great fit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

PRIMARY Build, maintain, and improve Power BI dashboards and reports for stakeholders across the business

• Support monthly financial close with reporting and data validation

• Help maintain and improve Excel-based tools and workflows used across departments

• Partner with the lead analyst on data modeling, pipeline development, and data quality initiatives

• Translate business questions into clear, actionable analysis

• Jump into new and unfamiliar problems as needs arise across the organization

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

· Skilled in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and office 365

· Must be able to work under pressure, respond to changing priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines

· Excellent customer service and relationship building skills; ability to interact professionally and

knowledgeably with a wide variety of individuals

· Strong verbal, written, and presentations skills
