General Purpose of Job
The Technical Services Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting customers and sales executives by directing and channeling technical service efforts. Through customer interaction (both national and international), design and art support, brand management services, global services coordination, new product development, and research and implementation of equipment and software
Key Responsibilities
  • Customer interaction (both national and international)
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and collaborate with prepress, structural, and design groups, as well as manufacturing, to select and implement new equipment and systems.
  • Work closely with finance, design, and IT teams to integrate and automate design systems with estimating processes.
  • Qualify and certify international locations to ensure consistent standards.
  • Engage with vendors to explore new technologies, ensure compliance, and qualify materials.
  • Provide recommendations and assistance in obtaining Quad Packaging's technical certifications.
  • Support field service technicians in resolving technical issues.
  • Assist with Prepress and Brand management tasks.
  • Collaborate on Graphics and Structural Design and development projects.
  • Project manage the implementation of new technologies and onboard new customers.
  • Offer customer technical support.
  • Coordinate Global Packaging projects.

Job Requirements
Education: Minimum of ten years' experience in the folding carton and label industry.
Experience Preferred
  • Knowledge of 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience in structural design
