Job description

Openwork is assisting a local blow molding manufacturing company in Smyrna, GA seek a service engineer to add to their team. This is a 1st shift position - schedule would be an 8 hour work day. No travel required. Salary Range - $55,000-$75,000 BOE.
This position is primarily responsible for providing support on all activities of Technical Service Center (hereby TSC) molding section engaged by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities to include the following. Other duties may be assigned from time to time at the Companys sole discretion.
  • Utilize professional knowledge and experience to maintain the Company's safety standards in accordance with OSHA and state regulations when working on equipment. while working with vitality and discipline.
  • Responsible for actively supporting and maintaining 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) practices to ensure a safe, efficient, and organized shop floor.
  • Strong understanding of polymer materials and mold design fundamentals.
  • Assist TSCs activities such as, new mold trials, develop, set, validate and optimize process, sampling, shipping preparation for machines/molds/ancillary equipment, and maintenance of machines/molds/ancillary equipment.
  • Create and maintain records of molding trials, process, and maintenance activities.
  • Participate in mold design reviews and provide feedback/suggestion to improve bottle quality.
  • Provide regular, complete, clear and organized project reports/daily routine reports.
  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and equipment. Update inventory records and assist with stock counts. Report low stock, damaged items, or discrepancies to supervisors.
  • Diagnosing and repairing existing machinery/mold, in accordance with the Company standards and in line with professional judgment. Pursue customer satisfaction
  • Exercise independent discretion to develop and maintain good customer relations in the
performance of duties, while maintaining a professional presence, delivery, and demeanor when communicating with customer.
  • Utilize all available resources to ensure effective customer service while developing an
organized approach to solving machine/mold problems, including without limitation,
reference materials, manuals, drawings, procedures and support from other service team
members to solve problems.
  • Provide instructions to plant maintenance and management staff in the safe operation and maintenance of Company equipment.
  • Establish relationships with Companys International Sales, Service and Design
departments in order to obtain answers and provide solutions to problems encountered in the field. Individual must strive for continuous improvement.
  • Complies with the company's policies and procedures.
