Job description

Title:ย Technical Serviceย 

Location:ย Conyers, GA

Summary:

As Technical Service for Prime Resinsย (a division of Carboline),ย you'll be the front-line expert supporting job startups, inspecting coatings, and solving challenges. You'll also contribute to in-house testing, equipment upkeep, and product evaluations-helping drive innovation and excellence in protective coatings.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent relevant experienceย 

  • 0-5 years of technical service or related experienceย 

  • Preferred: NACE Certified Coatings Inspector (CIP)

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 poundsย 

  • Regular exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to: Amines, Polyamides, Isocyanates, Epoxies, Alkyds, Acrylics, Certain inorganic compounds.

  • Required use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)ย 

  • Must successfully complete annual respirator medical evaluations and pulmonary function testing in compliance with OSHA requirements

Essential Functions:

  • Provide technical support for Prime Resins products and equipment, including phone support, onsite troubleshooting, and job startups at customer and company locations.ย 

  • Design, build, modify, and improve application and production equipment; perform equipment repair, preventative maintenance, and general facility equipment support as needed.ย 

  • Train customers and internal teams on proper equipment operation, maintenance, and application best practices (inhouse and onsite).ย 

  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of coating and lining product properties, application methods, and performance considerations; support system and equipment recommendations.ย 

  • Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Quality, Marketing, and Technical Service team members to support customer needs, product improvements, and issue resolution.ย 

  • Support sales presentations and customer meetings requiring technical expertise; provide field feedback and document findings as appropriate.ย 

  • Assist with Health and Safety initiatives and promote company safety and quality standards.ย 

  • Represent Prime Resins and Carboline professionally with customers, vendors, and industry partners.
