Job Title: Chemical Engineer

Location: Onsite
Role Overview:
We're looking for a Sales Engineer with a background in chemical engineering to support a custom foam manufacturer that serves the medical, aerospace, automotive, industrial, and electronics industries. This role requires someone who thrives at the intersection of technical thinking and relationship-building, able to take what a customer needs and shape it into a solution that can actually be produced. This is a fully on-site role involving direct, day-to-day interaction with customers, engineering, and the manufacturing team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Cultivate and grow relationships with important accounts, staying attentive to both technical demands and broader business goals
- Serve as the connecting point between customers and manufacturing, translating what customers ask for into solutions that can be built
- Pursue new sales opportunities, whether through incoming leads or outbound prospecting
- Work closely with engineering, estimating, manufacturing, and customer service to put together timely, accurate quotes
- Occasionally travel for on-site customer visits and attend relevant trade shows or industry gatherings
- Track and maintain accurate records related to accounts, pipeline progress, and customer conversations
- Stay informed on foam materials, applications, and shifts within the industry

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a closely related technical area
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through unclear or evolving customer requirements
- A real enjoyment of engaging with people, along with strong listening skills and the ability to build trust naturally
- Ability to communicate technical ideas to non-technical people clearly and accurately
- Well-organized, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple tasks at the same time
- Comfortable in a manufacturing environment and able to work well across different departments on-site
- Able to commit to working on-site full time at one of the locations listed above

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a technical sales, applications engineering, or customer-facing engineering capacity
- Working knowledge of polyurethane foam, polymer science, or materials chemistry
- Experience within a small or mid-sized manufacturing company
- Prior exposure to the medical, aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing sectors

We connect top talent with vetted employers, competitive pay, and real growth opportunities.

Compensation Range: $90K - $120K
