We are seeking a highly experienced Regional Technical Sales Manager to join our sales leadership team. This is a unique opportunity for a hydraulics expert who enjoys influencing business growth, developing sales talent, and serving as a trusted advisor to both customers and supplier partners.


Position Overview

The Regional Technical Sales Manager serves as the region's primary technical authority for hydraulic applications, with a strong emphasis on mobile equipment and mobile hydraulic systems. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic business development responsibilities to support profitable growth throughout the region.

While this position does not have direct people management responsibilities, it plays a critical leadership role by influencing sales strategy, strengthening supplier partnerships, developing technical capabilities within the sales organization, and supporting key customer opportunities.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Serve as the regional subject matter expert for hydraulic systems, components, and applications, particularly within mobile equipment markets.
  • Provide technical guidance and application support to sales representatives and customers.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, solution development, and complex customer requirements.
  • Identify emerging technologies and market trends to support business growth.

Sales Enablement & Training

  • Develop and deliver technical training programs for sales personnel.
  • Coach sales representatives on product applications, competitive positioning, and solution-based selling.
  • Improve overall technical competency and confidence across the sales organization.
  • Support customer-facing technical presentations and product demonstrations.

Business Development

  • Partner with regional sales teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand application challenges and recommend effective solutions.
  • Support strategic account development and growth initiatives.
  • Drive supplier-specific growth programs and market penetration strategies.

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary technical liaison between Evolution Motion Solutions and key supplier partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers and supplier technical teams.
  • Coordinate training, product launches, and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Advocate for supplier solutions while ensuring alignment with customer needs.
Requirements:

Qualifications Required

  • Expert-level knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and applications.
  • Significant experience with mobile hydraulic equipment and mobile machinery applications.
  • Proven ability to apply technical expertise in customer-facing sales environments.
  • Strong presentation, communication, and training skills.
  • Experience collaborating with manufacturers, suppliers, and technical partners.
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned region as needed.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.

  • Certified Fluid Power Specialist (CFPS) or (CFPHS) similar industry certifications.
