Job description

Technical Sales Engineer - Anchorage, AK

Our client, a national construction products manufacturer, is seeking a technical sales professional to join their growing team. The territory is primarily focused in the Anchorage area.

Primary Responsibilities

Employ technical skills to conduct presentations, develop project specifications and grow project pipeline.

Develop and maintain professional relationships with accounts including consulting engineering firms, regulatory agencies, contractors, developers and landscape architects.

Manage pipeline using CRM to measure project specific performance. Update continuously to ensure information is timely, accurate and complete.

Provide technical and marketing assistance to other team members as needed.

Continuously improve technical expertise and knowledge of product line, Competitive products and Civil Engineering infrastructure trends.

Acquire and continuously improve consultative marketing and transactional selling skills.

Account ownership – own the client relationship and leverage internal support network to deliver solutions.

Attend local Engineering functions such as ASCE meetings and participate at local tradeshows. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

BS in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field.

Ability to understand the engineer of record, site owner and contractor’s needs and guide them to the appropriate product solution for each project.

Ability to communicate technical information, concepts and applications very effectively using consultative marketing skills.

Efficient at interpreting Civil Site plans

Proficient in Microsoft office, CRM

Must have valid Driver’s license

Consulting or Field Engineers encouraged to apply.
