OVERVIEW:
We’re building a nationwide sales organization to accelerate TP-Link’s growth across the U.S. As a Sales Engineer,you’ll serve as the trusted technical advisor, partnering closely with Regional Sales Managers to design solutions, shape strategy, and win with the Omada Networks portfolio. You’ll engage across key verticals—including Managed Service Providers (MSPs), Multi-Dwelling Units (MDUs), Hospitality Service Providers (HSPs), Retail, and Enterprise—delivering tailored architectures, competitive positioning, and hands-on support that drive revenue and customer success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent TP‑Link’s end-to-end portfolio: wired, wireless (Wi‑Fi 6/7), cloud management, security, surveillance, and automation/telemetry solutions.
  • Own technical sales motions end-to-end: discovery, architecture/design, RF planning (passive/active), predictive heatmaps, BOMs, proposals, demos/POCs, competitive bake-offs, and TCO/ROI positioning.
  • Design secure, scalable networking solutions including routing, switching, QoS, segmentation, and WLAN security for indoor/outdoor deployments.
  • Build and grow relationships with key channel partners, MSPs, MDUs, HSPs, Retail, Enterprise, and SLED accounts; deliver technical enablement and training.
  • Troubleshoot and lead complex issue resolution during evaluations and pilots; drive technical wins to close.
  • Contribute to technical content (playbooks, whitepapers, webinars) and present at tradeshows, seminars, and partner events.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to represent customer requirements and influence roadmap.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of customer-facing pre-sales engineering or equivalent design/architecture experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with routing, switching, and enterprise Wi‑Fi; ability to design best‑practice WLANs, and optimize performance.
  • Technical aptitude across IP networking, wireless, software solutions, surveillance and competitive offerings; proven ability to run POCs and demos independently.
  • Consistent record of meeting/exceeding goals by influencing technical decisions and displacing competition.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of IT solutions such as networking, cloud computing, hardware, and software; strong troubleshooting/problem-resolution skills.
  • Self-starter with strong teamwork, territory ownership, and sales process discipline; proficient with CRM fundamentals.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within territory up to 50–60%.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Industry certifications (preferred): Cisco CCNA/CCNP/CCIE, Juniper JNCIA, Aruba Certified, RUCKUS RCNI/RCWA, CWNA, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of Wi‑Fi and RF: 802.11 standards; Wi‑Fi 5/6/6E/7; antenna propagation; Ekahau/Hamina; WLAN security; packet capture/analysis.
  • Routing/Switching/WAN: IPv4/IPv6, OSPF/IS‑IS/BGP, VRRP,  L2 Tunneling (VXLAN/GRE), PIM; QoS; VLANs.
  • Automation/Telemetry: NETCONF/REST, YANG/OpenConfig, gRPC; management/assurance platforms.
  • Scripting/DevOps: Python, Ansible; Linux; containers (Docker/Kubernetes).
