Job description


This position requires analytical skills to gain advanced technical and scientific expertise in flow cytometry and cell sorting. The successful candidate will have the ability to collaborate effectively with investigators in a BSL-2/3 research facility while providing outstanding customer service. Key tasks include operating flow cytometry equipment, training users and junior staff, conducting flow cytometry experiments, and analyzing and interpreting data. This position will report directly to the SRL Director for Flow Cytometry.

Education:

  • PhD in life sciences

Responsibilities:

  • Operate flow cytometry analyzers and cell sorters, including instrument QA/QC and scheduling.
  • Train users for application-specific flow cytometry equipment operation in BSL2/3 environment.
  • Perform flow cytometry experiments from sample prep to data analysis.
  • Guide users on experimental protocols, preparation of samples, analysis, and interpretation of data.
  • Write and implement lab policies and standard operating protocols.
  • Provide excellent customer service.

Work Experience:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in executing flow cytometric projects, including immunophenotyping, cell sorting, panel design, sample preparation, labeling, equipment operation, data analysis, interpretation, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Skilled in using FlowJo software.
  • Strong foundation in human and murine cellular immunology.
  • Published research papers in the field of flow cytometry.
  • Possess excellent communication and analytical abilities

The salary range displayed in this job posting reflects the anticipated salary range for new physicians hired into full-time (100% FTE) positions. This range is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized compensation benchmarks by specialty. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value, considering factors such as professional experience, clinical expertise, board certification, work history, and FTE. This stated range excludes the value of Cleveland Clinic's comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and other offerings.

Pay Range

Minimum salary: $66,228

Maximum salary: $80,000
