The Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for leading a team which has a significant role in securing reliable and compliant products. The SQ Manager will oversee supplier selection & approval, material qualification, material control and supplier development activities. The person independently plans, coordinates, and reports on material projects and supplier performance. The individual must demonstrate sound technical ability and decision making to achieve the desired results. The person will represent Supplier Quality on development, manufacturing and product improvement projects. The role is a supporting cross-functional cooperation between Procurement, Quality, Logistics, Development and Production.

This position reports to the Sr. Supplier Quality Manager and is part of the Supplier Quality located in Chaska, MN and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Directly manage Supplier Quality team in relation to supporting daily operations to meet customer needs. Clearly direct and optimizes the Quality team resources by driving accountability to meeting goals and commitments to the business through clear prioritization of work assignments
  • Engage and develop talent by training, coaching, and modeling behaviors that align with Danaher Core Values and use of Danaher Business System Tools
  • Establish and drive clear objectives for the team with SMART goals that stretch the organization to grow and are tracked and reported to Operations partners and within the Quality organization on a regular basis
  • Collaborate with Operations and align on goals as well as short term actions.
  • Maintain, implement, and continually improve the processes and QMS infrastructure, with the purpose of providing both best in class compliance and business support.
  • Continually develop and proactively manage local metrics needed to gauge the performance of processes.
  • Provide guidance to Operations, Quality, extended Quality groups and others functions regarding Compliance.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree with 9+ years exp. OR Master's degree with 7+ years exp.
  • Minimum 2 years of people management

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role

  • Ability to travel domestically up to 15% including overnight.
  • Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25lb, any other physical requirements

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Supplier quality and supplier management
  • Working within a global, multi-cultural, matrixed organization

The annual salary range for this role is $130,000 to $160,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.

We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
