Junior Technical Project Manager (TPM)
Englewood, CO (Hybrid - 4 days onsite)
Long-term contract (up to 2 years, with potential for conversion)
Compensation: $30-32/hr
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a Junior Technical Project Manager (TPM) to support fast-paced engineering and product initiatives across cloud, cable, and syndication programs in a hybrid role based in Englewood, CO. This long-term contract position is ideal for early-career professionals with strong operational and communication skills who are interested in growing into a technical project management career. The Junior TPM will work in a high-impact, global environment (partnering with U.S., UK, and Italy teams) and is expected to take initiative, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively with engineering teams-even without deep prior technical experience. You will coordinate day-to-day project execution, assist with project tracking, timelines, and stakeholder communication, and support Agile processes such as JIRA ticket management and sprint planning. The role involves participating in technical meetings, contributing to deployment activities and change management efforts, and building executive-ready presentations. Success in this role requires resourcefulness, initiative, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Support the delivery of technical projects across cloud deployments, syndication, and product rollouts
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to coordinate day-to-day project execution
  • Assist with project tracking, timelines, status reporting, and stakeholder communication
  • Participate in and eventually help run technical meetings and project updates
  • Contribute to deployment activities and operational coordination across teams
  • Support Agile processes:
    • Create and manage JIRA tickets
    • Assist with sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and progress tracking
    • Help move work from to-do → in progress → done
  • Build and maintain executive-ready presentations (PowerPoint) and communications
  • Drive change management efforts, including communications and team adoption strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and learn from peers in a distributed, global environment
  • Proactively identify gaps, ask questions, and follow through to solutions
  • Ramp up quickly by leveraging training and self-learning (especially JIRA and internal tools)
  • Partner with senior TPMs before taking on independent project ownership
  • Demonstrate strong ownership, organization, and accountability across multiple workstreams
  • Become a reliable team resource for coordination, communication, and execution

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Professional experience in operations, customer service, retail management, service industry, education, military, corporate, or nonprofit environments
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operations, coordinate tasks, or lead initiatives
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to ask questions, seek clarity, and problem-solve through ambiguity
  • Confidence engaging with and providing feedback to stakeholders, including technical teams
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint (or similar presentation tools) and general business tools (Excel, Teams, etc.)
  • Interest in technology and willingness to learn technical concepts
  • Highly resourceful and self-driven-doesn't wait to be told what to do
  • Comfortable operating in a "learn as you go" corporate environment
  • Has real-world experience managing people, processes, or operations (e.g., GM, teacher, team lead)
  • Strong presence and confidence working with challenging stakeholders
  • Naturally curious about technical topics and motivated to learn
  • Thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with limited oversight
  • Preferred: Exposure to JIRA or Agile environments
  • Preferred: Experience supporting engineering or technical teams
  • Preferred: Background in project coordination, operations management, or team leadership
  • Preferred: Familiarity with cloud, telecom, or product deployment environments
  • Preferred: Experience with communications, training, or change management initiatives
  • Preferred: Design skills (e.g., Canva, presentation design) are a plus

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
  • Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Health Savings Account and Dependent Care FSA
  • Supplemental coverage options
  • 401k plan with company match and full vesting upon eligibility
  • Paid time off, sick time, and paid company holidays
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with services like virtual counseling, financial and legal services, and life coaching
  • Opportunity to work in a global, high-impact environment and grow your technical project management career
