The Project Manager plans, directs, and coordinates activities of new equipment, upgrade and change part projects for KHS products to ensure that resources are available, goals of project are accomplished on time and within budget.
Your Responsibilities:
  • Reviews project proposal to determine schedule, cost estimates, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of major long-term machine projects
  • Prepares and manages project budgets and performs periodic cost and productivity analyses.
  • Prepares the Project Scope whereby the goals, objectives, risks, assumptions, team member's roles and responsibilities, work breakdown structure, and deliverables are identified, defined, and communicated effectively.
  • Communicates regularly with management and administration regarding the status of current project initiatives; Lobbies for and obtains peer and upper management support, guidance, and approvals as required to advance project initiatives
  • Coordinates with appropriate project team groups such as, Customers, Sales, Finance, Product Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Service, and Documentation to guide project and produce customer deliverables within specified time frames and budgets.
  • Communicates internally and externally to keep all project participants informed about all aspects of the project; Mediates between project participants in cases of disputes to reach win-win outcomes whenever possible; Leads project meetings.
  • Monitors project milestones and works with project team to maintain schedule and honor commitments
  • Integrates specification requirements established by customer, KHS GmbH, other KHS global partners and equipment suppliers.
  • Ensure that change requests with a significant impact on the project scope, cost, or delivery are brought forward and communicated to appropriate personnel.
  • Travel to field locations as necessary to deliver and complete the project
  • May support Inside Sales activities such as providing new machine quotation support, hosting customers on sales visits and helping to upkeep product cost forms.

Your Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university in a technical or engineering discipline
  • Three (3) years engineering or technical experience involving packaging machinery; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD or other CAD drawing layouts.
