JOB TITLE: Project Manager

REPORTS TO: Vice President/Information Systems


POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of organizational projects and initiatives, ensuring timely completion, within scope, and alignment with strategic credit union objectives. Define project objectives, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements in collaboration with key department representatives and leaders. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues and escalate appropriately. Responsible for driving project momentum and fostering a team culture while encouraging initiatives forward with purpose and urgency.


QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in project management methodology and a demonstrated track record of developing, documenting, and enforcing project management processes, standards, and guidelines that elevate team performance and delivery quality. This role requires someone who will champion structure and discipline while remaining adaptable and collaborative. Bachelor’s degree in project management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field, as well as Project Management experience, is required. PMP certification is preferred; however, candidates who do not currently hold a PMP certification must demonstrate a willingness and ability to obtain certification within 12 months of employment. Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Requires exceptional communication, time management, and writing skills.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Clear and effective communication abilities required. Must be able to view a terminal screen and operate a computer keyboard. Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods. Ability to travel to off-site facilities is required.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive project momentum from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, milestones, and resource requirements in conjunction with the project sponsor
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, work breakdown structures, and schedules
  • Proactively manage scope, schedule, and budget of each project
  • Design, document, and continuously improve project management processes, frameworks, templates, and guidelines to foster consistent execution
  • Manage project tracking, task management, and reporting processes
  • Serve as primary contact for active projects while managing expectations and providing consistent updates to leadership
  • Additional duties as assigned
