Job Description Technical Project Manager, Manufacturing Operations Type: Full-Time | On-Site Hours: Monday - Friday 8-5 pm Compensation: $75k-100k Annually Position Overview We are seeking a Technical Project Manager, Manufacturing Operations to support complex custom manufacturing projects from customer requirements through engineering, production, quality review, and final delivery. This role will work closely with Product Engineering, Production, Quality Assurance, Operations, and Sales teams to ensure projects are effectively planned, tracked, communicated, and executed. The Technical Project Manager will translate customer requirements and internal needs into clear project plans, milestones, ownership, timelines, risk assessments, and action items.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically minded, and comfortable collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams. This individual should be able to understand technical discussions, identify risks and obstacles, ask insightful questions, and keep projects moving forward without serving as the primary technical decision-maker. Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution Develop and maintain project plans from kickoff through final delivery.

Break complex projects into actionable tasks, milestones, owners, and deadlines. Monitor schedules, dependencies, risks, blockers, and open action items. Maintain accurate project status updates within Jira.

Identify and escalate risks related to scope, timelines, resources, or project requirements. Provide information needed to support prioritization and decision-making. Engineering & Manufacturing Coordination Partner with Product Engineering teams to understand project requirements, technical dependencies, and readiness milestones.

Coordinate project handoffs between Engineering, Production, QA, Operations, Sales, and Shipping. Ensure all teams have the information and resources needed to complete their work. Track progress across design, CAD development, slicing, material selection, testing, production readiness, printing, milling, finishing, quality review, and delivery.

Identify missing inputs, ownership gaps, and project blockers early. Support seamless transitions from engineering development into production execution. Production Workflow Support Coordinate project flow across manufacturing, finishing, quality assurance, and shipping operations.

Ensure operational teams receive all necessary documentation and project requirements prior to production. Track quality checkpoints, approvals, documentation, and outstanding action items. Facilitate communication and alignment when priorities shift or parallel workstreams are required.

Drive project follow-through from initiation to completion. Communication & Documentation Prepare clear internal and customer-facing project updates. Support project meetings, status reviews, and coordination sessions.

Document project decisions, risks, changes, action items, and open questions. Maintain alignment between Sales, Engineering, Operations, Production, QA, and leadership teams. Organize and maintain project documentation within shared systems.

Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in project management, technical project coordination, manufacturing operations, engineering coordination, or a related field. Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, hardware, fabrication, production, or other technical environments. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field preferred.

Ability to translate complex technical information into clear project plans, tasks, ownership, and timelines. Experience utilizing Jira and project documentation tools. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Exceptional organizational and follow-up abilities. Skilled at identifying risks, resolving issues, and escalating concerns proactively. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and evolving requirements.

What Success Looks Like Projects are clearly planned, tracked, and visible to stakeholders. Engineering and production teams have clear ownership, milestones, and timelines. Teams understand project status, next steps, blockers, and risks.

Cross-functional handoffs are streamlined and well documented. Project tracking systems accurately reflect current project status. Risks and missing information are identified early.

Stakeholders receive timely, accurate, and professional project updates. Projects progress efficiently with strong accountability and minimal surprises.
