Job description

At CLUTCH, a division of 24G, we create technology-driven experiences for some of the world’s most iconic events and brands. Our team brings together developers, designers, strategists, project managers, and experiential specialists to create interactive applications, touchscreen experiences, kiosks, games, lead-capture systems, and custom technology activations deployed at live events around the world.

We’re seeking an Experiential Project Manager for Digital Interactive Activations to join our team. As an Experiential Project Manager, you will guide projects from kickoff through execution, helping ensure creative concepts become successful live experiences. You’ll work closely with clients, account managers, designers, developers, vendors, and onsite teams to keep work aligned, organized, on-track, and ready for deployment.

This is not a traditional event-planning position. The ideal candidate has managed client-facing digital, software, creative-technology, or interactive projects. You do not need to be a developer, but you should be comfortable working with developers and designers, asking informed technical questions, and managing projects where software, hardware, content, and live production come together.

*This is a hybrid position based in our Troy, Michigan office and requires regular onsite attendance.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day project execution from kickoff through delivery, deployment, and wrap-up.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, milestones, workback schedules, task assignments, and delivery plans.
  • Translate approved concepts, client requirements, and feedback into clear deliverables and next steps for creative, development, and production teams.
  • Coordinate work across account management, design, development, technical production, vendors, and onsite teams.
  • Track project requirements, decisions, assumptions, dependencies, open questions, risks, and scope changes.
  • Partner with Account Managers to support client communication, expectations, budgets, and overall account needs.
  • Facilitate project kickoffs, internal check-ins, client reviews, stand-ups, and production meetings.
  • Ensure tasks are documented, assigned, prioritized, and followed through using company project management tools.
  • Help identify blockers, escalate issues early, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Review work for alignment with project goals, client expectations, and production readiness.
  • Coordinate deployment logistics, onsite needs, staffing, hardware, content, and technical handoff requirements.
  • Support onsite execution during key events, including setup, show days, troubleshooting coordination, and client support.
  • Help maintain clear communication between clients, internal teams, vendors, and onsite stakeholders.
  • Contribute to process improvements that make projects run more smoothly and predictably.

What you need to succeed

  • Ability to build and manage practical project plans for digital and interactive work with fixed launch or event dates.
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while maintaining clear priorities, ownership, and follow-through.
  • Working understanding of digital production and software development workflows, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Ability to turn client feedback and creative direction into specific, actionable tasks for cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to identify dependencies, unclear requirements, scope changes, and production risks before they affect delivery.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to adapt information for clients, creatives, developers, vendors, and onsite teams.
  • Sound judgment about when to document a decision, schedule a meeting, escalate an issue, or move forward with available information.
  • Comfort managing projects in which software, hardware, content, physical production, and live-event deadlines intersect.
  • Professional judgment and clear decision-making during changing requirements, tight deadlines, and live-event issues.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, digital production, technical production, experiential production, or a closely related role.
  • Experience managing client-facing projects from kickoff through delivery.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams that include both creative and technical contributors.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project schedules, requirements, deliverables, feedback, dependencies, risks, and scope changes.
  • Experience using project management and collaboration tools to assign work, track progress, and maintain project documentation.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical requirements without personally developing the solution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for onsite deployments, client events, or production support.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience delivering interactive installations, touchscreen applications, kiosks, games, websites, mobile applications, lead-capture systems, or similar digital experiences.
  • Experience working in an agency, experiential marketing, event technology, software production, or other client-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycles, quality assurance, content management, APIs, networking, or application deployment.
  • Experience coordinating projects involving hardware, sensors, displays, tablets, printers, scanners, custom fabrication, or AV systems.
  • Experience working with developers, designers, fabricators, AV teams, hardware vendors, and onsite production partners.
  • Experience with tools such as Asana, Slack, Google Workspace, Figma, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
  • Experience tracking project budgets, estimates, vendor costs, change requests, or resource needs.
  • Experience supporting onsite installation, testing, show operations, or technical troubleshooting.
  • Background in Project Management, Digital Production, Marketing, Communications, Business, Event Management, or a related field.

How performance will be measured

  • Project Ownership: Projects have clear plans, owners, requirements, deadlines, and documentation and continue moving toward delivery.
  • Schedule & Delivery Management: Milestones are actively managed, delays are identified early, and fixed event deadlines are met.
  • Communication & Alignment: Clients, account teams, creative teams, developers, vendors, and onsite stakeholders receive clear and timely information.
  • Scope & Risk Management: Requirements, dependencies, changes, and risks are documented and addressed before they disrupt delivery.
  • Production Readiness: Software, content, hardware, documentation, staffing inputs, and contingency plans are prepared before deployment.
  • Execution Quality: Delivered experiences meet approved requirements, client expectations, and the practical demands of the live environment.
  • Process Improvement: Project closeouts and lessons learned lead to more efficient and predictable delivery practices.
