Senior Technical Project Manager

About your role:
As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will partner with key business stakeholders to ensure a successful start-up and completion of each project that will span across the mainframe and output solutions technology teams. You will work to plan, coordinate, and monitor tech projects of all sizes with a high degree of complexity and risk.

What you'll do:

  • Plan, organize, and control resources & processes to achieve project objectives within scope, time, quality, and budget constraints
  • Provide a complete view of the overall project to the organization and all stakeholders
  • Exhibit proactive behavior by engaging in all project planning activities
  • Define project governance outlining roles and responsibilities and decision rights
  • Ensure success criteria defined upfront to promote alignment and actively manage to expected project outcomes
  • Keep internal and external stakeholders engaged in the project, aligned on expected outcomes, and informed about what is occurring throughout the project to make effective, timely decisions
  • Proactively communicate the project's progress on an on-going basis, ensuring transparency throughout project lifecycle
  • Conduct risk assessments and log any risks or issues in weekly reporting to senior leadership

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 7+ years of progressive project management experience delivering medium to large initiatives
  • 4+ years of experience in an Agile environment
  • 4+ years of experience with project management tools such as JIRA or MS Project
  • 4+ years of experience with matrix management of cross-functional processes and teams
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Industry certifications (PMP, CSM, CAPM)
  • Prior experience with AI tools such as Copilot
  • Prior experience leading technical projects in card processing industry and software development
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships and strategic partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to practically apply project management concepts to facilitate the achievement of business objectives ensuring predictable, consistent, and successful program delivery
