Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager / Project Engineering Manager with a strong background and possess a deep understanding of water treatment processes. The role requires exceptional Engineering and Design skills, including the ability to manage cross-functional interface within a project team, coordination with TPM Global Engineering Center in India and Local Project Management team effectively.

  • Engineering and design execution for water and wastewater treatment projects globally.
  • Working as a Project Engineering Manager in the engineering department, the incumbent shall primarily work directly on performing engineering functions related to the project business under the direction of the Head of Engineering.
  • Assist in the growth and development of engineering talent within the Engineering team by providing guidance to other engineering staff and contributing to regular, frequent knowledge sharing sessions.
  • Ensure that engineering is completed accurately within schedule and budge
  • Support the Head of Engineering in establishing, maintaining and applying procedures and protocols that will enhance the quality, efficiency and repeatability of engineering activities throughout the department
  • Carry out value engineering assessments of all projects under the incumbent's control. Conduct technical analyses and feasibility studies and provide expert advice on process optimization and technology selection.
  • Receive the basic process design from the proposals / sales team.
  • Supervise P&IDs, basic Engineering / design, detailed Engineering / design based on customer requirements.
  • Manage third parry design / 3D model companies.
  • Confirm compliance with customer specifications for equipment and material types.
  • Supervise equipment/piping sizing calculation, equipment datasheets (valve lists/datasheet, equipment list/datasheets, piping schedule etc.), control descriptions/ valve sequence charts and operating manuals
  • Carry out technical review of quotations for compliance with requirements
  • Review fabrication drawings from external fabricators to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Collaborate with PMs, QA/QC, skid Fabricators and Construction Manager
  • Oversee preparation of general arrangement drawings, piping detail drawings, skid arrangement drawings, Module arrangement drawings etc.
  • Liaise with clients on technical aspects, making justifications as necessary for design direction Participate in internal and external design reviews
  • Coordinate / interface with various discipline
  • Support during commissioning for the assigned projects and Manage Warranty Claims technical perspective.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.


REQUIREMENTS
 

  • BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental)
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in water or Process industry.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in managing cross-functional engineering teams
  • Proficiency in computer skills like MS Office software, AutoCAD, 3D models.
  • Detail design of complex/ skid-based /module-based treatment / stick-built systems/plants.
  • Familiar with API, ASME, AWS, NACE and AWWA codes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of management.
  • Ability to travel as required for project needs. (30%)
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment and in an international business.
  • Familiarity with various water treatment methods, technologies, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of the design and engineering principles specific to water treatment facilities.
  • Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework related to water treatment, environmental standards,
