Remote Multifamily Project Manager information

What does a remote multifamily project manager do?

A Remote Multifamily Project Manager oversees the planning, coordination, and execution of construction or renovation projects for multifamily residential properties, such as apartment complexes, while working off-site. They manage budgets, schedules, and communication between stakeholders, ensuring each project meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role relies heavily on digital collaboration tools to monitor progress, resolve issues, and keep everyone informed without being physically present at the job site.

Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills help in managing diverse teams and stakeholders across locations. These competencies ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards despite the challenges of remote oversight.

This role is ideal for a designer who enjoys solving complex structural challenges and wants to work on a diverse mix of commercial, multifamily, and residential projects using MiTek software.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in producing accurate, efficient designs, and enjoy collaborating with sales, engineering, and production teams, we'd like to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Design roof and floor truss systems using MiTek software.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of truss design experience (commercial and multifamily experience strongly preferred).
  • Proficiency using MiTek Structure or MiTek Sapphire.
  • Strong understanding of wood truss engineering principles and structural load paths.
  • Ability to interpret architectural and structural construction documents.
  • Experience designing roof and floor truss systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects in a remote work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale commercial, hospitality, student housing, military, or multifamily projects.
  • Knowledge of IRC, IBC, and applicable building codes.
  • Experience working directly with contractors, framers, and engineers.
  • Familiarity with wall panels or engineered wood products is a plus.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys tackling challenging projects and takes ownership of their work. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to balance speed with accuracy while working on multiple deadlines.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with a strong reputation, a steady pipeline of complex projects, and a team that values technical expertise and professional growth.

Benefits

  • Fully remote position
  • Competitive base salary
  • Lucrative performance bonus opportunities
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • Long-term career advancement opportunities
