  • Assist with meeting agendas, notes, and followup actions
  • Analyze basic production or project data to identify improvement opportunities
  • Support continuous improvement, process optimization, and engineering change initiatives
  • Spend time on the manufacturing floor to understand and develop processes, assist in sampling and create operator instructions.

What You’ll Learn

  • How engineering and manufacturing projects operate in a die casting plant
  • Practical project management skills used in industrial environments
  • How to communicate and coordinate across engineering and production teams
  • Exposure to manufacturing processes, equipment, and workflows
  • How continuous improvement projects are identified, tracked, and executed

Required Qualifications

    • Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
    • Engineering Management
    • Operations, Supply Chain, or a related technical field
  • Strong organization and timemanagement skills
  • Comfortable working in a handson, manufacturing environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities

  • Experience with team projects, capstone work, or internships
  • Familiarity with project tracking tools (Excel, Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, etc.)
  • Exposure to manufacturing, machining, or metal casting environments
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement coursework (a plus)

What We Offer

  • Paid internship with real project ownership
  • Mentorship from experienced engineers and project leaders
  • Meaningful, resumeready manufacturing project experience
  • Exposure to engineering operations in a highimpact production setting
  • Opportunity to be considered for future internships or fulltime roles
