The City of Falcon Heights is accepting applications for an Administrative Intern.
This temporary position offers hands-on experience across many areas of city government and allows the candidate to explore different roles to discover their interests. The successful candidate will support a variety of departments with tasks such as permitting, licensing, responding to public inquiries, researching policy issues, updating the website, drafting newsletters, and assisting with records retention. The role aims to provide a broad understanding of local government through active participation and mentorship. Candidates must be at least 18 years old. Preferred qualifications include experience in city or county government or enrollment in a public administration or related program. This in-person position is 20-30 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with flexible scheduling. It is expected to run from September through December 2026, with the possibility of a short extension depending on workload and mutual agreement.
