Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Centurum is looking for a Project Assistant with two (2) years of experience facilitating the smooth execution of projects by providing administrative and operational support to project managers and teams. 
Typical daily activities include:
  • Updating project plans and trackers
  • Taking and distributing meeting minutes
  • Following up with team members on assigned tasks
  • Research information for project reports
Key responsibilities are:
  • Documentation & Reporting: Documents Control – Including but not limited to Engineering Change Request (ECR), Engineering Change Order (ECO), creating, updating, and filing project documents, reports, and presentations using tools like MS Office or specialized PM software
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Coordinating meetings, setting up conferences, managing calendars, and ensuring team members are aware of upcoming deadlines
  • Administrative Support: Assisting with project setup, monitoring, and closing, including organizing project information and data analysis
  • Communication Liaison: Acting as the main point of contact between team members, clients, and vendors to facilitate communication
  • Budget Tracking: Assisting with estimating, tracking expenses, invoicing, and procurement

REQUIRED SKILLS/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
  • 2 years’ current or other relevant experience supporting Executive staff as well as Program Managers and Engineers with document preparation and presentation, communications, scheduling, maintaining office standards and records, meetings support, and maintaining business protocols in an office environment
  • Organization: Strong multitasking skills to handle various tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for reporting and stakeholder coordination
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g., Asana, Jira)
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to monitor, update, and maintain accurate records
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, conference calls and appointments for office staff.
  • Working knowledge of company’s Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures, and a familiarity with the business operations of assigned office/group
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

This position is required to have and maintain a Secret US DoD security clearance.

Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
REMARKS
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of technical and management personnel.
Compensation: $35 - $40 an hour.
Compensation for positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.
