We are now seeking an onsite Electrical Construction Specialist to contribute to our team. The ideal candidate will possess 7+ years of extensive experience in large-scale commercial construction projects, specializing in electrical systems. This role demands a proficient individual who can oversee electrical construction activities, ensuring projects are executed in compliance with specifications, codes, and quality standards.
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field is preferred. An equivalent combination of technical experience, specifically 10+ years in electrical construction, may be considered in lieu of a degree.

  • 7+ years of experience in electrical construction on large vertical commercial projects, performing electrical-focused duties.

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, installation practices, and current industry standards.

  • Experience with Procore Construction Management software is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage electrical contractors and subcontractors effectively.

  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and project management software.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and contractors.

  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standards in electrical construction.

  • Professional certification such as PMP, CCM, or similar is desirable.

  • Preferred: Experience on large data center or technology campus projects, or projects involving intricate electrical systems and configurations.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Oversee electrical construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, budgets, and timelines.

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to develop and maintain robust construction schedules.

  • Conduct routine site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols on-site and conduct regular safety audits and training for personnel.

  • Review and approve electrical shop drawings and submittals related to construction activities.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to on-site personnel and subcontractors regarding electrical issues.

  • Perform quality control processes and electrical inspections following client quality control plans.

  • Coordinate and manage the execution of 3rd party tests and inspections.

  • Monitor and document on-site processes, procedures, and compliance with construction drawings, security requirements, and code mandates.

  • Assist in monitoring the overall project design and construction efforts, including risk management and compliance.

  • Coordinate, manage, and participate in project-related meetings, communicating effectively with all stakeholders.

  • Provide detailed documentation including daily reports and photographic records during project phases such as mobilization, construction, fit-out, commissioning, and occupancy.

  • Support and help manage project progress updates and tracking of work completion.
