Job description

Position Summary

Acuren's Cambridge Materials Testing (CMTL) division is currently seeking a Lab Technical Coordinator to support operations within our Cambridge, Ontario laboratory. If you are looking for an opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic industrial environment that offers hands-on experience and ongoing learning, we encourage you to apply. 

  • This position will be based in our Cambridge facility
  • Monday to Friday Regular business hours
  • Salary will be CA$25.00 to $31.00/hr based on qualifications and experience
Responsibilities
  • Respond to and support customer inquiries through email, telephone, and in-person interactions in a professional and timely manner
  • Interpret customer testing requirements and conduct research to ensure accurate service recommendations and solutions
  • Prepare applicable documentation, log incoming test samples, and coordinate allocation to the appropriate laboratory departments
  • Prepare accurate and customized customer quotations based on testing specifications and requirements
  • Coordinate and prioritize workflow in collaboration with department supervisors to ensure efficient turnaround times and customer satisfaction
RequirementsEducation & Experience
  • Related science or technology degree/diploma preferred, or a minimum of 2 years of related industry experience
  • Experience working with and interpreting technical specifications considered an asset (ASTM, ASME, AWS, CWB, CSA, ISO, etc.)
  • Experience preparing custom quotes based on technical specifications is also considered an asset
Technical, Professional & Organizational Skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of materials testing considered an asset
  • Strong computer, research, analytical, and communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities with strong time management skills
