Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Program Manager to fill an opening with a leading aerospace manufacturer located near Cincinnati, OH. The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing aerospace manufacturing programs, working cross-functionally with operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams while driving customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.


Requirements of the Program Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of Program Management experience within the aerospace manufacturing industry
  • Experience managing customer programs for aerospace OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and MRP/ERP systems (PLEX preferred)
  • Experience working directly with production teams to resolve manufacturing and operational issues
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace quality management systems
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, APQP, and PPAP methodologies preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage program schedules, budgets, forecasts, and risk mitigation activities
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills
  • Experience presenting program status and leading customer reviews
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Experience supporting MRP/ERP implementation or process improvements preferred
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Experience with composite manufacturing, ITAR, and international aerospace customers is preferred

Responsibilities of the Program Manager

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned aerospace customer programs from award through production and delivery
  • Manage overall program performance including schedule, cost, quality, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery
  • Lead customer communications, program reviews, milestone meetings, and issue resolution
  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules, risk registers, and action plans
  • Monitor program budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
  • Work closely with production, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve manufacturing challenges
  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to improve throughput and delivery performance
  • Support production scheduling and capacity planning to meet customer commitments
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing processes, MRP/ERP utilization, and operational efficiency
  • Improve planning accuracy, system utilization, and workflow effectiveness through process enhancements
  • Develop standardized work instructions and documentation to improve program execution
  • Proactively identify program risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, customer requirements, ITAR regulations, and contractual obligations
  • Support new product launches and transition activities as required
  • Collaborate across departments to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement
