Job duties include supervising development teams, assessing work schedules, assessing productivity, and addressing any quality assurance issues that arise during production. Technical program managers are often responsible for creating reports to upper management based on the functions of the products and making suggestions on how to streamline future projects. They may also help the organization develop new strategies related to production and sales goals.

Job description

We're looking for a Technical Program Manager to drive execution across our North America product roadmap, with a focus on delivering complex, cross-functional technical initiatives that move the business forward.

This role sits within Product Operations and owns how we deliver. You'll partner with Product and Engineering leaders to translate strategy into actionable plans, manage dependencies across teams, and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of our most critical programs.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Drive end-to-end execution of the North America product roadmap, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and sequencing.

  • Own delivery of highly complex, multi-team technical initiatives with significant dependencies across engineering, product, and regional stakeholders.

  • Translate product strategy into clear, actionable program plans with defined milestones, deliverables, and success criteria.

  • Partner with engineering leaders to pressure-test estimates, surface technical risk early, and hold teams accountable to commitments.

  • Map and manage dependencies across teams, systems, and external partners; identify risks early and proactively drive mitigation.

  • Establish and run program operating rhythms, including planning, status updates, milestone reviews, and retrospectives.

  • Act as the single source of truth for program and roadmap delivery status, translating technical progress and risks into business-relevant insights for leadership.

  • Define and iterate on the program management frameworks, templates, and standards that will scale as the TPM function grows.

  • Drive collaboration and accountability across distributed teams, ensuring clear ownership and follow-through on every workstream.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Impeccable written and verbal communication, with the ability to structure complex information for technical and executive audiences.

  • Strong ability to influence without direct authority and drive alignment across senior stakeholders.

  • Technical fluency; you're comfortable reading architecture docs, understanding system trade-offs, and engaging substantively in design discussions with senior engineers.

  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycles, engineering workflows, and the realities of shipping cross-functional software.

  • A bias for action and outcomes, with a proactive approach to resolving ambiguity, escalating with judgment, and driving decisions forward.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a strong grasp of timelines, milestones, and dependency management.

  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, evolving environments where priorities can shift and process needs to be built as you go.

  • A preference for simplifying process rather than adding it, bringing rigor where it creates leverage instead of overhead.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Program Management, or a similar role in a product or engineering environment.

  • Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional technical programs at scale, end-to-end.

  • Experience partnering closely with software engineering teams and engaging in technical decision-making.

  • Experience operating across multiple teams and time zones effectively.

  • Experience in regulated or detail-heavy domains such as insurance, fintech, healthcare, or compliance-driven B2B is a plus.

  • Experience as an early or first TPM in an organization, or building the TPM function from the ground up, is a plus.

This position will remain posted for a minimum of three business days from the date posted or until sufficient/appropriate candidate slate has been identified.

Compensation and Benefits

Benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
