Job description

You'll drive the planning, governance, and delivery of complex, multi-cloud migration programs for clients in regulated financial services, keeping technical teams, business owners, and cloud vendors aligned and moving in the same direction. This is real program work on real client engagements, backed by the scale of a leading professional services firm.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own program-level planning across multiple concurrent migration workstreams, including sequencing, milestones, and critical path
  • Run RAID and dependency management, surfacing risks and blockers before they become problems
  • Track milestones and delivery health across workstreams and report status up through portfolio governance
  • Align technical teams, business stakeholders, and cloud vendors around a shared plan and shared expectations
  • Challenge estimates and timelines by understanding the technical tradeoffs behind them, not just accepting them at face value
  • Translate between engineering teams and business stakeholders so decisions get made with the right context
  • Manage governance cadence, including steering committee updates, status reporting, and escalation paths
  • Identify cross-workstream dependencies early and coordinate resolution across teams
  • Flag compliance, data-residency, or cost implications of technical decisions that could affect timeline or scope

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Proven experience running large, multi-workstream technical programs, ideally cloud migrations
  • Strong command of RAID logs, dependency mapping, and milestone tracking in complex environments
  • Experience reporting into formal portfolio or program governance structures
  • Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, and GCP, including how workloads get placed and the cost and egress tradeoffs between them
  • Familiarity with data-residency and compliance constraints in regulated industries, financial services strongly preferred
  • Comfort managing multiple stakeholder groups at once, including vendors, engineers, and business owners
  • Experience in regulated or highly governed environments
  • A clear communicator who can hold technical teams accountable without needing to write the code themselves, and who stays calm when priorities shift
