Role Overview

The Technical Program Manager (TPM) will lead complex, multiteam technology initiatives across trading, investment, advisorfacing, and datadriven platforms. This role requires strong program leadership, deep understanding of financialservices technology, and handson experience driving APIbased integrations, application interoperability, and modern integration patterns.


The TPM will oversee roadmap execution, crossfunctional alignment, vendor and platform integration, and regulatoryaligned delivery. You will ensure that platform enhancements, data flows, and application interfaces are designed, integrated, and delivered with reliability, scalability, and compliance in mind.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Delivery

  • Program Governance - Establish program structure, milestones, RAID logs, and reporting for multiworkstream initiatives.
  • CrossFunctional Execution - Coordinate engineering, product, QA, architecture, operations, and compliance teams.
  • Technical Delivery Oversight - Ensure solution design, system integration, and implementation align with business, technical, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive endtoend delivery of platform enhancements, trading workflows, APIdriven integrations, data pipelines, and advisorfacing capabilities.
  • Oversee integration of internal and external applications using REST APIs, microservices, eventdriven patterns, and secure dataexchange frameworks.


Stakeholder & Communication Management

  • Provide clear, datadriven executive reporting to senior leadership.
  • Translate complex technical concepts-including API architecture, integration dependencies, and system interoperability-into businessaligned communication.
  • Facilitate steering committees, sprint reviews, and crossteam alignment sessions.

DomainSpecific Responsibilities

Lead programs involving:

  • Trading platforms / OMS / EMS
  • Portfolio management systems
  • Wealth & advisory platforms
  • Market data integrations
  • Regulatory & compliancedriven initiatives

Expanded integration scope includes:

  • Managing API modernization, including migration from legacy services to RESTful or eventdriven interfaces.
  • Overseeing applicationtoapplication integrations, including authentication, data mapping, versioning, and performance optimization.
  • Coordinating vendor integrations, FIX connectivity, cloudnative services, and dataplatform enhancements.
  • Ensuring integration patterns support scalability, resiliency, and regulatory compliance.

Agile & SDLC Execution

  • Partner with Scrum teams to ensure backlog readiness, sprint execution, and release planning.
  • Ensure alignment across product, engineering, architecture, and integration teams.
  • Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes, including API lifecycle management, integration testing, and release governance.


Required Qualifications

  • 9-12+ years of combined experience as a Technical Program Manager, Program Manager, or Senior Project Manager in Wealth Management, Asset Management, Capital Markets, or Institutional Trading.
  • Proven experience delivering largescale, multiteam technology programs.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Trading workflows (equities, fixed income, mutual funds, alternatives)
  • Advisor and client lifecycle
  • Market data, order routing, and trade execution
  • APIbased integrations, application interoperability, and modern integration frameworks
  • Handson experience with Agile/Scrum delivery.
  • Excellent communication, executivelevel reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements, integration specifications, and delivery plans.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with OMS/EMS platforms, portfolio tools, or investmentplatform modernization.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and modern integration patterns (APIs, microservices, eventdriven architectures).
  • PMP, SAFe, CSM, or similar certifications.
  • Experience working with vendor platforms or thirdparty financialtechnology ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with API gateways, service mesh, and integrationplatformasaservice (iPaaS) solutions.
