Emerson Power & Water Solutions is a global leader in power and water automation, trusted across 60+ countries to support over 1.4 million MW of generating capacity worldwide. In the U.S., our solutions help manage more than 12 billion gallons of water every day through advanced control and monitoring technologies.

At Emerson, it's about more than technology, it's about purpose. If you are a project management professional looking to make a meaningful impact, this role offers the opportunity to lead complex projects that support critical power infrastructure across North America. As part of the Power Retrofit Solutions Group, you will help modernize power generation facilities through advanced Ovation automation solutions, working closely with customers to deliver successful retrofit projects from start to finish.

Based in Cranberry Township, PA, just north of Pittsburgh, this position offers the advantages of a vibrant suburban community while remaining close to the cultural, dining, and sports attractions of downtown Pittsburgh.

If you're ready to bring your expertise to an industry leader and help shape the future of power generation, we'd love to hear from you.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Lead automation and control system projects ranging from $500K to $10M+, from kickoff through successful completion.
  • Take ownership of all aspects of project execution, including scope, schedule, budget, and customer expectations, with the autonomy and authority to make key project decisions that drive successful outcomes.
  • Serve as the trusted advisor and primary point of contact for customers, building strong partnerships and delivering an exceptional project experience from award through completion.
  • Collaborate with talented teams across engineering, operations, field service, sales, marketing, and commercial functions to deliver innovative solutions that solve real-world customer challenges.
  • Proactively manage project performance, identifying risks, removing obstacles, and communicating progress clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Lead contract execution activities, including scope management, change order development, and customer negotiations, helping ensure projects remain aligned with business objectives while protecting schedule, cost, and quality commitments.
  • Champion a culture of safety, quality, cybersecurity, and operational excellence throughout every phase of project delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen customer relationships and support future business growth.
  • Gain visibility with business leaders while expanding your expertise in critical infrastructure and industrial automation.
  • Join a collaborative team that combines technical expertise, project leadership, and customer partnership to deliver solutions that help power communities and support critical infrastructure across North America.

Who You Are:

You build strong partnerships by earning trust and collaborating effectively across teams.  You excel at planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals, balancing scope, schedule, and risk in complex environments. You anticipate and proactively manage potential challenges, using sound judgment and data to make timely decisions that keep projects moving forward. You understand how project outcomes connect to customer needs and broader business objectives and you adapt your approach to deliver results in dynamic, customer focused settings.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Project Management, Project Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience leading projects involving engineered systems or solutions, industrial technologies, or operational environments where technical coordination is essential for success
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while managing changes and competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to travel up to 20% in North America
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience leading complex projects using formal project management practices, supported by a PMP, PgMP, or similar certification.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, integrated hardware/software systems, or other engineered solutions.
