Job description

Yamaha is seeking Technical Trainer II for our facility in Marietta, GA. The Technical Trainer II is responsible for conducting instructor led Training for Yamaha Motor University. Act as a point of contact for trade/technical education schools to ensure Yamaha integration into vocational schools. Assist in reviewing and making suggestions in enhancing and improving current educational materials and instruction.
What you'll be doing:
  • Responsible for both classroom instruction (preparation, delivery, testing, grading, and reporting) and lab instruction (preparation, delivery, testing, and grading, with the responsibility to ensure shop safety rules are followed).
  • Serve as Yamaha's trade school liaison - responsible for recruiting /onboarding new trade school partnerships as well as supporting, maintaining and growing current partnerships programs. Provide reporting for trade school ROI's such as YTA Bronze completions, graduate to dealer placement rate and others.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of current and new training courses; creating materials, testing, and coordinating course production (units, labs, etc.) for up to date improved technical training delivery, and increased student engagement and enrollment.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply adult learning theory to training and coaching.
  • Ability to utilize a wide variety of training methods.
  • Strong technical knowledge of motor products - knowledge of Yamaha products a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills.

What you need to be successful:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in curriculum development or instructional design.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of formal experience with instructional/teaching fundamentals and or classroom teaching experience.
  • Proficiency with PC computer skills with, but not limited to Microsoft office products and Adobe products - Acrobat, Photoshop.
